San Diego, in need of first base reinforcements, is interested in Ji-Man Choi (Pittsburgh). The possibility of a deal with Kim Ha-Sung has been raised.
According to Sports Illustrated’s “Inside the Padres,” first base and catcher are the top two positions San Diego needs to address before the trade deadline. The publication listed Choi as a potential first baseman, along with Joey Meneses (Washington) and Bobby Dalbec (Boston).
In his first year in Pittsburgh, Choi was sidelined with an injury early this season. He has since returned to form. He’s batting just .186 on the season, but since returning, he’s hit three home runs in nine games in July. On July 22, he homered off Shohei Ohtani against the Los Angeles Angels.온라인카지노

San Diego has invested heavily, but has underperformed. The team is unlikely to make the postseason. First baseman Jake Cronenweth is batting .208 with eight home runs, 37 RBIs and a .656 OPS this season. Pittsburgh is also in last place in the National League Central and could be in the market for a sailor.
If Choi were to head to San Diego, he could form a Korean duo with Kim Ha-seong to provide a more energetic offense. However, this scenario would require the interests of San Diego and Pittsburgh to align.
