‘Scottish Open runner-up’ Kim Hyo-joo, world ranking 7th… 2nd runner-up

Hyo-joo Kim, who won runner-up at the LPGA Tour Freed Group Scottish Women’s Open, jumped to 7th in the world rankings.
In the women’s golf world rankings announced on the 8th (Korean time), Kim Hyo-joo recorded her ranking point of 5.79, moving her to 7th place. Hyo-Joo Kim, who had been pushed down to number 11 the previous week, returned to her top 10 after a week.
In the final round of the Freedy Group Scottish Women’s Open held on the 7th, Kim Hyo-joo shot a 7-under-par 65, recording a final total of 13-under-par 275, and came in second place, two strokes behind leader Celine Boutier (France). It is her second runner-up this season, following her last June’s Shop Rite Classic.

Ko Jin-young, who withdrew from the Jeju Samdasoo Masters on the Korean Women’s Professional Golf (KLPGA) Tour due to shoulder strain, retained her second place with her ranking points of 7.39. She was 0.22 points behind leader Corda (7.61 points). The only Korean players in the top 10 in the world rankings are Ko Jin-young and Kim Hyo-joo.
Lydia Ko (New Zealand), who was third last week, fell to fifth, and Yin Luoning (China) rose to fourth.
Lim Jin-hee, who won her second season at the KLPGA Tour Jeju Samdasoo Masters, saw her ranking rise significantly from 88th to 68th.
