Returning Field Marshal Park Jun-seo leads Kyunghee University to victory

Kyung Hee University, where the main setter returned, was different.

Kyung Hee University 스포츠토토won the 2023 KUSF College Volleyball U-League at Kyunghee University Seonseungwan in Yongin on the 10th with a set score of 3-1 (25-22, 25-21, 24-26, 25-16) against Gyeongsang National University, marking the first win of the season. rang

Kyung Hee University was on a two-game losing streak, losing 1-3 to both Myongji University and Hanyang Daejeon. The third opponent in the league was Gyeongsang National University, which, like themselves, had not yet recorded a victory.

If they lost this game, they could fall into a worse slump, so it was Kyunghee University who absolutely needed to win. And ahead of an important game, Park Jun-seo (2nd grade, 183cm, S), the main field commander, returned.

It was his first appearance of the season, but he led the team to victory by showing a stable game management and a toss that deceived the opponent. Park Jun-seo, who met after the game, said, “It’s been a while since I played a game, and although I gave up a set, I’m happy to win.”

Although he is the main setter, his first appearance of the season was due to an injury. Park Joon-seo suffered a patella fracture at the Muan Championships held in July last year. Park Jun-seo, who devoted himself to rehabilitation for nearly a year, had to watch his teammates play outside. And without the main setter, Kyung Hee University continued to falter. Park Joon-seo, who watched the team’s sluggish performance, said, “I felt sorry for my teammates because I couldn’t get on the court, and I worked hard to rehabilitate to return quickly.”

However, he did not return until the league started, and Park Jun-seo’s place was filled by freshman Park Seo-jin (1st grade, 175cm, S). However, Park Seo-jin, who had just graduated from high school, felt a lot of pressure to lead his older brothers to the game.

Park Jun-seo, who was watching him from the side, also played an active role as a setter since the first grade, so he knew Park Seo-jin’s difficulties better than anyone else. “University itself is different from high school. He knows how difficult it is to play as a starting pitcher since his freshman year, so he told Seo Jin-yi to always be confident and not lose confidence every time he plays.”

How did Park Joon-seo, who has been on the court for a long time and led the team, evaluated his own comeback match? “The toss was fine, but since he played the game for the first time in a while, there were times when he didn’t fit in with his teammates. He seems to have to make up for it quickly,” said Park Joon-seo.

Returning to the court after a long wait, Park Joon-seo’s goal this season was by far ‘health’. “I don’t want to get hurt anymore and I want to have fun. And I want to spend a season where Kyunghee University can become a better team.”

The start of the season was difficult for Kyung Hee University, but with the return of the main setter, the team succeeded in reversing the atmosphere through an immediate victory. Let’s see if we can continue this atmosphere and succeed in rebounding.
