Hwang Min-kyung is an outside hitter with strengths in defense and receiving. He has a strong serve as well as sharp attack power. His loud voice raises the atmosphere on the court and at the same time reveals his fighting spirit. He is essential to the team.

Born in 1990, he is now a league veteran. He has been active in the V-League since the 2008-2009 season, so he prepares for the 16th season.

In the meantime, the uniform has been changed several times. He played 8 seasons, half of his career, at Korea Expressway Corporation until the 2015-2016 season, then went through GS Caltex (2016-2017 season) and played an active role at Hyundai E&C for 6 seasons from the 2017-2018 season.

In the last FA (free agent) market, Hwang Min-kyung chose to transfer to IBK Industrial Bank. He signed a two-year contract with a remuneration of 450 million won (annual salary of 320 million won / option of 130 million won). The total amount is 900 million won.

Hwang Min-kyung joined the IBK Corporate Bank training that started in early May and is slowly improving his form. Because he knows his body well, he controls it and gradually improves his perfection.

I asked Hwang Min-kyung what was different about joining the fourth team. He said, “I don’t think the differences between the teams are big. Rather, it is the coach who feels the difference. Each coach has a different style. That part plays a big role. I met coach Kim Ho-cheol for the first time. Training was very interesting. ‘Volleyball that I think of myself. ‘. I also really like that part. I think I’ll have more fun digesting it while training. I’m feeling the charm.”

He is the eldest sister of the team. He is fourth on the team스포츠토토, but the first to become the best. When asked what he thought of the captain, Hwang Min-kyung smiled first. After a while, he said, “I had no intention of claiming it. I was not even told to claim it (laughs). When (Shin) Yeon-kyung returns, he will continue to claim it well,” he said.

He changed the question and asked about the role of senior officer. Then Hwang Min-kyung nodded and said, “The team’s training atmosphere can change depending on what the eldest sister does. I always think that it can be because of me.” He was determined to raise the team atmosphere by taking the initiative.

Hwang Min-kyung continued, “IBK Industrial Bank, which I faced in front of the net last season, was a style that could not be revived once it fell down after doing well. I think that part comes from the basics. In the upcoming season, I will talk about this a lot with my juniors.” he emphasized.

Hwang Min-kyung said, “IBK Industrial Bank’s fast play was difficult for the opponent. It was really quick for the experience. I’ve never played this fast in any other team in Korea. Last year’s national team tried the fastest play. This is what I look forward to. there is,” he said. It meant that he wanted to reveal his desire for offensive power through fast volleyball.

During her ball training, Minkyung Hwang focuses on working with setter Hakyung Kim. Hwang Min-kyung added, “I’m still adjusting my speed because I’m not in 100% condition. I plan to gradually increase my speed.” It meant smooth.

Right now, Minkyung Hwang is recognized for her ability to stabilize her team. Here, she also tries to bring down her personal greed. Hwang Min-kyung, who wants to contribute to the team’s performance, said, “I only think about the upcoming season. I don’t think about anything else. I’m looking forward to it too.”
