Lee Jin-hyun’s ‘Wonder Goal’ against Suwon, selected as K-League 1 ‘Goal of the Month’ for February-March

Daejeon midfielder Lee Jin-hyun won the February-March K-League ‘Goal of the Month’.

Sponsored by Dongwon F&B, ‘Dongwon Spring Water Goal of the Month by Mother Nature’ is an award given to the player who scored the most impressive goal every month. For two candidates, the winner will be decided by 100% fan voting through the K-League application ‘Kick’. The winners will receive a trophy along with a cash prize of 1 million won스포츠토토.

The first ‘goal of the month’ of this season was for the K-League 1 rounds 1-4 held over February and March, and Asani (Gwangju) and Lee Jin-hyun (Daejeon) were nominated.

In the 26th minute of the second half against Incheon in the 4th round, Asani scored a direct shot from a free kick from a long distance outside the penalty box, splitting Incheon’s net. In the 4th round away from Suwon, Lee Jin-Hyeon attempted a kick shot from the right side of the penalty box in the 16th minute of the second half and was sucked into Suwon’s goal.

As a result of the fan voting conducted on the Kick application for three days from the 3rd (Mon) to the 5th (Wed) of this month, Lee Jin-hyun, who received 2,418 votes (52%) out of a total of 4,692 votes, narrowly defeated Asani, who received 2,274 votes (48%). He was easily bullied and won the first ‘Goal of the Month for Dongwon Spring Water in Mother Nature’ this season. Lee Jin-hyun’s award ceremony will be held on the 16th (Sun) at the Daejeon World Cup Stadium where Daejeon and Ulsan meet.
