National team goalkeeper Cho Kyu-sung (Meatwillan) made his unofficial debut for Denmark in his first trial.
Cho wore the number 33 jersey and played the full 60 minutes against AGF at Ceres Park in Aarhus, Denmark at 9 p.m. (ET) on Nov. 16.
Cho, who signed a five-year contract with Mittwillan on Nov. 11, joined the team’s training camp immediately after his signing was officially announced. He earned a starting spot in the trial that followed. Playing a central role in the team’s offense through his post play, Cho was no match for opposing defenders.안전놀이터
His activity level was also impressive, as he worked diligently up front and contributed to the team’s defense. However, the team as a whole struggled to develop their offense and failed to create any threatening shots, with only one header attempt.
The game was played in three 45-minute quarters, with Mitwillan winning 3-2. Mittwylan trailed 0-2 after two quarters, but scored three goals in the final three quarters to pull out the win.
After the AGF, Mittwilan concluded its preseason schedule. The club will open the 2023-24 season in the Danish Superliga (first division) against Hvidovre on Nov. 21 (local time). On the 27th, the team will host the first leg of the UEFA Conference League second qualifying round. The opponent is yet to be determined.
Founded in 1999, Midtjylland is considered a powerhouse in the Danish league. They won their first title in 2014-15 and were crowned champions in 2017-18 and 2019-20. However, they finished seventh last season and are looking to rebound this season.
